HAPPY ANNIVERSARY

Today, Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes, in 1956, 55 years ago three Claretian Missionary Sisters arrived to the  airport of New York. They had different nationalities:  Mercedes Sánchez born in Cuba; Ana María Santamaría from Colombia and Montserrat Bianchi from Argentina. Their final destination the town of Momence in the State of Illinois.
They came to establish our Congregation in the USA and like every foreigner that arrives into this beautiful country they wanted to live the American dream but they had also another  very especial dream:  to proclaim the Good News of Jesus to  the people of the country.    In 1971 we moved to Florida where our first ministry was among Migrant Workers.    Since then the Lord has blessed us with new vocations and has open for us new ministries.
Let us give thanks with all our heart to the Lord for all the blessings we have received and continue to receive.  May Mary ,who in Lourdes identified herself as the Immaculate Conception, intercede for us and continue to journey with us.
Regina
