HAPPY ANNIVERSARY CLARETIANAS

Today February 11, 2012 marks the 56^th anniversary of our arrival to United States. It coincided with our 4^th meeting with the lay collaborators in ministry. It was a joyous occasion for all of us. Regina presented the history of the Claretian Sisters in USA from 1956 till now. The presentation brought up a lot of questions from the group who wanted to know more about who we were and how we developed in the states over the years. After the presentation Vivian read to them the blog entry of the Sisters in Tilomar about the First Stone for the preschool and showed the picture Inocencia had posted in the blog. They were very excited about it. We gave a report of where we are in our efforts, getting close to the first $1,000.00 for the Preschool which we hope to send soon.  Considering the members of the group are mostly people who are retired and living on very limited means and the younger ones are undocumented getting by through odd jobs here and there, this was a big effort for them. They wanted to do more and came up with two activities in the future, one a garage sale in the parish and a movie night selling food.

Before the time for vespers they had brought some finger food and a cake and sang “happy anniversary Claretianas” to us. Prayer was a beautiful moment, they truly enjoy the quiet peaceful time and during the prayer of the faithful they expressed their gratitude to be part of our spirituality as well as the success of the mission in Tilomar.

We parted hoping to meet again on march 10^th, when we will present our sister Teresita Albarrcin and have a mini retreat with exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and sharing of the WORD.

El soplo del Espíritu

Hemos terminado la Asamblea, hemos comenzado un año nuevo, hemos sentido el soplo del Espíritu entre nosotras de manera sorprendente...aunque no nos debería sorprender que Dios haga estas cosas...reanimar la esperanza, derrumbar muros, liberar los corazones, dar ojos nuevos para mirar la realidad del mundo, de los demás y la propia...ayudarnos a mirar hacia las posibilidades y no las dificultades.

Quiero agradecer a todas las personas, hermanas de diferentes latitudes.  Les hemos sentido muy cerca con su oración y cariño, también los laicos con quienes compartimos la misión, familiares. GRACIAS.  De manera especial agradecemos a Chony su guía y presencia fraterna y sabia entre nosotras, ahora nos toca la práctica de lo que hemos "visto y oído,"  caminar con confianza hacia el futuro...(esta foto que hice del río San Juan que está al fondo de la casa de retiros, me habla de eso).

Feliz Año Nuevo

Desde nuestra tierras de América les deseamos que el Niño Jesus les traiga un año lleno de muchos deseos de reestructurarnos, pues nos hará mejores, y de acompañarnos en este caminar.

Final del V Asamblea de USA

Hola, ya llegamos al final de nuestra V Asamblea. 

Después de 3 días juntas en donde compartimos, soñamos, planeamos y escribimos nuestros deseos de ser fieles, llegó el momento de partir a cada una de nuestras casas. El Niño Dios acompañó nuestro caminar y compartir. Al final, al recibir nuestra pequeña antorcha, el Niño Dios fue testigo de nuestro deseo de ser fieles a lo que juntas planeamos.

El Capítulo General, of course, fue lo que dirigió nuestra reflexión y compromiso. Por lo tanto, "Ser Copias de Jesucristo" "Comunidades Apóstolicas" y Cuerpo Congregacional son elementos esenciales en nuestro nuevo plan de trabajo.
