Signo Inconsciente de Vocacion

El problema de su extraño nacimiento, nos dice Rafael Gómez, es tanto más llamativo cuanto afirma  Antonia en su autobiografía, refiriéndolo en parte a alguna intervención sobrenatural en el mismo:

Aun antes de nacer quería ahogarme (el demonio) por un accidente que sufrió mi pobre madre, que a juicio de los facultativos era imposible salvar a la criatura que llevaba en sus entrañas."

No cabe duda de que este episodio, leído en clave vocacional, puede considerarse como lo que hoy tiende a llamarse signo inconsciente de vocación.
Esto me hace pensar en los muchos eventos en nuestras vidas que se viven como "signo inconsciente de vocación".

Antonia's Life, God's Miracle

Las circunstancias del nacimiento de María Antonia fueron desagradables. Ella misma contaba que nació tan flaca y amoratada que parecía asada a una parrillas. Su madre decía que había venido al mundo para una cosa muy grande pues sin una particular providencia del Señor no hubiera nacido con vida. Da la impresión que ya desde los inicios, la vida de Ma Antonia está marcada por dificultades y, a la vez, por pequeñas señales de esperanza.

 

La vida de Maria Antonia fue un milagro de Dios. Nuestra vida es un milagro de Dios. Que experiencias hemos vivido que nos hacen ver nuestra vida como un regalo de Dios?  Colleen Fulmer en su cancion Just To Be describe que somos una bendicion.

 

The circumstances of this birth were unpleasant. She narrates that she was born so thin and bruised that her body looked like it was roasted on a grill. Her mother would always say that Maria Antonia had come to this world with an imprtant mission, because without a particular providence from the Lord, she would not have been born alive. It seems that from the very start, Maria Antonia's life was marked by difficulties and, at the same time, signs of hope.

Our life is a miracle from God. Take some time and reflect on those moments when you discover God's grace an love guiding you through life's difficulties.

Maria Antonia Paris and You

Nació Antonia Paris Riera en Vallmoll, pueblo situado a cinco kilómetros al sur de Valls, en la provincia y Diócesis de Tarragona, el lunes 28 de junio de 1813. Su padre Francesc, había muerto poco antes, en abril. Su madre, Teresa, había llegado a la villa el día antes huyendo de los ejércitos de Napoleón.

 A la vez que leo esta pequeña introducción sobre María Antonia, me pregunto sobre mi fecha y lugar de nacimiento. Me pregunto sobre lo que hizo historia ese 17 de mayo de 1963.

Ya lo averiguare.

Antonia Paris Riera was born in Vallmoll, village located five kilometers south of Valls, in the province and Diocese of Tarragona, Monday, June 28, 1813. Her father, Francesc, had died shortly before, in April. Her mother, Teresa, had come to the village the day before fleeing from Napoleon's armies.


As I read this short introduction, I look into my birthdate and birth place. What made history on that May 17, 1963 in the USA? I really do not know but would love to find out.

Maria Antonia was born, on the 28th day of June,

1813, in a small town called Vallmoll, near the northern Mediterranean coast of Spain. Her mother fled from Tarragona to Valmoll, trying to escape from theFrench invasion under the direction of Napoleon.

Pedro y San Pablo. Ella verá más tarde esta fecha de su entrada
